Court Reporter Schools in Ohio

Becoming a Court Reporter in OH

Many people consider Ohio a great place to train for a career in court reporting because of the large number of higher education resources providing training for these careers in the state. The National Court Reporters Association (NCRA) provides a list of accredited, NCRA-certified schools that offer court reporting programs of different varieties in Ohio, and successful completion of one of these programs is looked upon favorably by employers. Task force efforts are underway in Ohio to make state certification mandatory for all of Ohio’s court reporters, but have not yet passed. In the meanwhile, it is smart to become qualified for the positions you seek by not only completing an accredited court reporter program, but also earning your RPR certification through the NCRA, which shows employers you have the skills for the job. Court reporters in Ohio connect with one another through the Ohio Court Reporters Association.
